Origins & Craft

Juniper’s journey into witchcraft began in the early 1990s, at an age when most were focused on school and routine. Her interest in folklore, herb lore, metaphysics, and mythology developed early and grew into a focused, long-term study of traditional spiritual practices.

Over the decades, she immersed herself in the esoteric traditions of her European, British, Scandinavian, and Near Eastern heritage. What started as personal study soon evolved into a structured spiritual practice involving ritual work, spellcraft, and the creation of magical tools for personal use.

By the early 2010s, that private work shifted toward a professional offering. In 2011, Juniper began taking online orders, and in 2013, she launched a public Facebook page to connect with like-minded practitioners. Every oil, candle, charm, and ritual item was—and still is—made by hand, with a focus on intention, ingredient quality, and functional use in practical magic.

From 2012 to 2015, she collaborated with fellow witchcraft and pagan businesses across Australia, participating in displays and giveaways to support the local magical community. Under her former business name Moonberry Mist, she assisted with The Australian Pagan Magazine’s website and eventually rebranded under the name Juniper Moon—a name she had used in magical work for more than 20 years.

Community & Contribution

Between 2016 and 2022, Juniper used her business and platform to support causes aligned with her values, including fundraising for witches in need, animal rescue organisations, Share the Dignity, Backpack Bed for Homeless, and the CFA. She also contributed to the community by moderating the Australian Witchcraft Facebook page and supporting creators through platforms like Patreon.

Outside of her own offerings, she has consistently promoted and purchased from other small businesses and creators in the magical and metaphysical space. Supporting others in the community remains central to The Wild Cauldron’s ethos.

A New Chapter: The Wild Cauldron

In 2022, following the loss of her husband, Juniper stepped back from business to grieve and reassess. By 2024, she returned to her work with renewed clarity and commitment. In January 2025, she married her current partner and rebranded her business as The Wild Cauldron—a name that reflects transformation, resilience, and an evolving dedication to the craft.

Today

The Wild Cauldron remains a one-woman-owned and operated business, though Juniper occasionally brings in help during high-volume periods. Every product is handcrafted in small batches with care—from the herbs and oils she blends to the labels she designs, prints, and cuts by hand.

The store offers a focused selection of magical oils, incense blends, spell kits, spiritual baths, artisan candles, and ritual tools designed for witches, occultists, and spiritual practitioners who seek authenticity and quality in their craft.

For Juniper, this work isn’t about aesthetic—it's about function, energy, and heritage. Each item is made with the same intention and integrity she’s upheld for over three decades.
